Terms of use
Last updated: July 2026
The short version
Xstr is a free tool that mirrors your X posts to Nostr and back. It's provided as-is, with no warranty. You own your content. X and Nostr are third-party services with their own rules. Be reasonable, and you're welcome here.
The service
Xstr connects your X account and your Nostr signer and publishes your posts between them on your behalf. It's offered free of charge. There is no paid tier and no guarantee of uptime — it may be unavailable, change, or stop at any time.
Your content
You own everything you post. By using Xstr you're asking it to republish your own posts to the destinations you connect. You're responsible for what you publish and for having the right to publish it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Xstr to break the law, to spam, to harass, or to abuse the X or Nostr networks. We may suspend or block access that harms the service or other people.
Third-party services
X (Twitter) and the Nostr relays you choose are independent services. Their availability, pricing, API access, and policies are outside Xstr's control and can change or be revoked at any time — which may interrupt mirroring. Xstr is not responsible for those services or for actions you take on them.
No warranty; limitation of liability
Xstr is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Xstr and its maker are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service — including missed, duplicated, or failed posts. Your content stays yours; keep your own backups of anything important.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. Continuing to use Xstr after a change means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of <jurisdiction — TODO>, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Independence
Xstr is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp or Twitter. "X" refers to the third-party service you choose to connect.
